    SubmitToSharePointList and GUID

Thanks to the excellent documentation (and qrules) I managed to send the content of a form plus attachment additionally into a sharepoint list and at the same time am able to populate some fields there through the mapping done through the Qrules Mapping tool.

One field I cannot push though into the sharepoint list - I generate a GUID through "GenerateGuid". The number is pulled from the "results" field and displayed in a field named "Transaction GUID". If I map this field also to the sharepoint list, it remains empty. I checked the the sequence in the rules and the GUID is generated before the submission process.

    Any Ideas

Could you attach your form template?

    Thanks.

I see you are using a default value for the GUID field. This means that everytime the value of RESULT changes, the value of GUID will also change. Therefore, this will not work.

Please try the following: after calling GenerateGuid, add another action that will set the value of GUID in the main data source (to Result).

[You may even add a condition such that GUID only is set once (i.e. if the GUID doesn't already exist); you can accomplish that with the condition GUID is blank.]

(Also make sure to enable the GUID command; that rule looks to be disabled in the XSN you sent).

Let us know how it goes.
