Submit options that submit form and redirect user to another site

As we know, by default when a form is submitted the user is directed to the library which houses the form. What I need is for the form to submit, close and the user be redirected to another site. I understand this can involve changing the source parameter, but I would like to know how to change that source parameter, if that is the way to go, so every time the form is submitted, it closes, and the user is re-directed to another site. This site is a parent site of the site that houses the form library and the parent site has links tthat open the form directly. And I am using the web based form option.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Phil,

You mention the source parameter, and that's really all that needs to be changed. I have implemented this in a SharePoint data view, where I can manipulate the URL using SharePoint designer and add a source parameter with the URL that users will be sent to. If you are working with a data view take a look at SharePoint designer and the options within the Hyperlink menu. However, if you are in a form library, I'm not sure how the Source parameter would get changed.

Re: Submit options that submit form and redirect user to another site

    Ernesto,

The solution I came up with proved to be rather simple. I created a link directly to the form, bypassing opening the form by clicking on the "New" button in the form library. This link consisted of 3 parts, the link where the form would be located, the link taht says where the form should be sent once it is submitted, and the link where the user will go after the form has been submitted. By default, the last t2 are the same. I went back into the link and changed the last section, the Source parameter, to send the user to where I want them to go, as you did. However, I did not need a to use a data view. The link I created is on a wiki page that describes the use of the form.
