    Create form with if-loop?

Hi, Im trying to edit a form from SharePoint 2010 in InfoPath 2010. To simplify lets just say that i have one input field which is a choice question with 4 alternatives. What I want to do is to create a form that, depending on what you chose in the first question, shows a number of new rows with questions/actions. For example: first question could be: What is your Name? And you could then choose between Ann, Caroline, Mark and Dave. Depending on what name you choose, a couple of new rows should appear which asks you to attach some files. So for example if I chose Ann. Then three new rows appear below which says something like: Please attach CV: Please attach Cover Letter: Please attach Picture: Been trying to figure this out for a while now but cant get it to work! Cheers, Marcus

You can accomplish this by having four sections, one for each of the alternatives. Hide all sections by default (i.e. when the dropdown is blank). Once a dropdown option has been selected, you can use conditional formatting to show the correct section. Good luck!

Thank you very much for the help! I'm guessing this will work but how do I apply conditional formating to a section? I can only apply it to a Table Tool. What I have now is the 4 choice question and below that I have 7 rows with just Title in column 1 and a Attachment field in column 2. I need to hide the attachment fields but when I select them I can't choose Add Rule? Thanks again :)

    I don't understand the question. :)

Here are Microsoft articles; hope they help:

    Re: Create form with if-loop?

The links helped! My problem was that I went to InfoPath through SharePoint 2010 so I didn't have all the custom controls that usually exists. However, just by creating a Section and placing the text and controls within that section it allowed for conditional formatting! Now it works! However I have a couple of additional questions and I don't feel like polluting the forum so I'll ask them here for starters. Maybe you know the answer to them aswell :) 1) I have one field in the form that I only want a few people to be able to see and edit. (It's called Important offers, and it's a checkbox (Yes/No). Is there a clever way of doing this? 2) Is it possible to get one Attachment control for each file. Now when i put 5 in a row, they all show the same files when attaching files. I would like them to be independent.. if that makes any sense? Thanks a lot for your help!
