Please help.

I have a drop-down list box that gets numbers from an external data source (XML file). Once a number is selected from the drop-down box, the corresponding text is displayed in a text dox.

I do not want my users to be able to select a number. I want to either set the default value of the drop-down and then hide it? Or, have my text box pull data directly from the XML file.

Any help?

The dropdown should have two options: value and display. The "display" is what is shown to users. The value might be that numeric index you are referring to. How is the dropdown configured? You can right click and select Properties to check it and modify it.

I got it to work by adding a filter to the Entries box. However, the drop down only includes my filtered data...which is fine, but the drop down starts with a blank. not ideal, but workable.
