    Trail Version ... Injection Errors

    I've tried several templates and when injecting I get the following errors:

    An error occurred during the injection.

     Adding an entry for the QdabraRules data connection to sample data
    'xd' is an undeclared namespace. Line 1, position 2.

    The Xd namespace should already be declared because InfoPath uses it for controls. It's possible that the namespace is missing from your version or was changed. Questions:

    1. What version of InfoPath are you using?
    2. What language are you running it in?
    3. Can you create a blank form using InfoPath designer, save the XSN and inject into that?

    If the blank form (step 3) doesn't work, please attach a sample XSN and we will investigate.

    1.  Infopath 2010

    2.  No clue.  We are using it out of the box and not modifying code.

    3.  A blank form works.  It is when we try to import a Word form into Infopath 2010 form and then inject.  Is there another way to import the form after the injection?

    Thank you

    Re: Trail Version ... Injection Errors

    Hi again,

    It must be the Word injection stuff. We will need to fix qRules to handle that scenario. In the meantime, it's probably easy for you to manually add the xd namespace to the form. You'll have to create a new folder and export the blank xsn as source files (see button at bottom of File->Publish section). Open up the folder that has the source files and open sampledata.xml. Search for the xd namespace declaration at the top of the file (xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003"). Do the same export for the Word injected XSN (but choose a different folder) and copy the xd definition into the sampledata.xml for that form. You'll need to do the same thing for manifest.xsf (search for xmlns:xd and find it at the top) and the view1.xsl. When you are done, right click on the manifest.xsf and choose Design. Save that as an XSN file (not source files) and retry the injection.

    I haven't verified that this works, but it should. I will assign this to someone to do so tomorrow.

    Thanks for your patience,

    Re: Trail Version ... Injection Errors

    Hi, I could reproduce what you've experienced, and verified the workaround.

    Workaround process:

    1. Open your form (imported from Word form) with InfoPath Designer.
    2. Save it as Source Files:  i.e.  In “File” tab of Office ribbon, Publish -> Export Source Files. Select a folder.
    3. Close the InfoPath Designer.
    4. Go to the specified folder.  Open sampledata.xml with notepad.
    5. Find the line similar to this.....  It is likely to be 4th line or so
      <my:myFields xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2011-05-23T04:07:58" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    6. Add xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003".. So it will be something like:
      <my:myFields xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2011-05-23T04:07:58" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003">
    7. Save and close notepad.
    8. In the folder, right click on the manifest.xsf and choose Design.
    9. Save it as xsn with new name.
    10. Inject qRules to the new form.

    f.y.i Manifest.xsf and view1.xsl already has xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003". so no need to manually edit them.

    Thank you.
