    How to get a fully-trusted form signed

    Hello, I'm going to be attempting to get this topaz signature pad working in my form:

     http://blog.sharepointrx.com/2009/09/11/using-topaz-signature-pads-to-capture-signatures-for-infopath-2007-forms/

     However I found it requires a fully-trusted form for this to work.  I don't know a lot about them, but I haven't really found a straightforward answer as to how to get a form fully trusted.  I ran into dead ends looking for the infopath SDK, and in general was too scared to download the wrong thing!  If I try to sign the form myself it mentions this:

    "If you need an authenticated code signing certificate for fully trusted forms, you will need to contact a certification authority or your network administrator"

     I could probably get this, but I wouldn't know how to ask, could anyone shed some light on this?

    Thanks alot!

    You need to set the form to full trust (Tools / Form Options for IP 2007, File / Advance Form Options for IP 2010). Then you can sign it with a self created certificate, if needed. You could also create a script that users can use to register the form locally.

    Save a copy of your form template, so you have a backup, and then you won't be shooting yourself in the foot as you try different options.

    This has some info, as does this.

    I am have an similar issue.

    I did try to do the self create certificate, but I get the following response;

    A self-signed certificate will only allow InfoPath to update e-mailed form.  If you need an authenticated code signing certificate for fully trusted form, contact a certification authority or network admin.
