    Repeating Table Question

Is there a way to add an additional ROW for each additional entry on a repeating table? Here is what I am trying to accomplish: I have an expense report that has 6 columns for the expense item information but under each entry we would like to have a notes section that would all the user to add comments/notes and have it repeat for each item entered in the expense report repeating table.

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Repeating Table Question

    Hi Daniel,

Yes, that's totally doable. Just add another group and repeating child group underneath the repeating group you already have for your expenses. You can use our ChangeHistory XTP for a quick fix. Just drag and drop it into your form and move the group node to be under the repeating expense report item group.

    Have fun,

    Re: Repeating Table Question

Hey Patrick, Thanks for replying, I am having some troubles getting this to work properly, can you please be a little more specific on how I can accomplish this. I am linking an image of my current repeating table to show you what I have going on to help you better understand. Also, will the "ChangeHistory XTP" work for me as I am using InfoPath 2007 and it says for InfoPath 2010 only?

Basically I owuld like the notes section under each expense item entry as follows:

    Column Labels
    Expense Item
    Notes
    Expense Item
    Notes
    Total Amount

    How can I accomplish this?

    Thanks -Daniel

    Re: Repeating Table Question

Looks like your Notes field needs to be in the same section as your Expense Item. As to formatting, you may want to skip the repeating table and use a repeating section instead -- you can format it so it looks like a table, but you'll have more options when it comes to layout....
