    Basic SharePoint 2010 Permissions question.

I have a top-level corporate site with a couple of sub-sites (HR, Meeting Services, etc).  I have published Infopath forms that pull from lists on these various subsites.  Users need to have read rights to these lists to pull the info into the form.  And from what I've seen, this means that they also have to have read rights to the subsite the list exists on.

I need to have it where our users can read the lists, but not have access to the site (not see the site in navigation).  Is this possible?

    Hi,

If your IT policy allows it you can add NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users as read access to the sub sites one by one or you could add the appropriate domain groups as read access to the sites.

    Would that solve the problem?

    Ted
