    Q: AddDays extended

    Hello,

i do not know if this is possible with qrules but here is what we need:

We have a start date and want to add x-days (duration) to this start date which results in a calculated due date.
In Infopath we would use the function adddays which works in the first step.

    Here comes the problem:
If the resulting due date is a non working day (saturday/sunday) it should skip these days and step to the next working days.
In detail only working days should be used for calculating the duedate.

    Example:

    Start date: Thursday, 28.04.2011
    Duration: 5 Days
Due date (with normal Adddays function): Tuesday, 03.05.2011
Correct Due date (without weekend): Thursday,05.05.2011

Is there a way get this result with the help of qRules?

    Thanks in advance

qRules does not have a function that only adds weekdays, but that is a good idea for a possible future feature!

In the meantime, this blog post may help you with a formula approach.

Between April and now, there wouldn't have happened to be a new release that accounts for this feature would there?

    Thank you for your response.

No, I'm sorry. We do have that in our list of possible future features, but have not yet implemented it.

Hi - just want to update you - I've gotten the go-ahead to add this to qRules 4.1, which will be released soon!
