I placed a keyboard shortcut on the submit button so the user can just use alt-s to submit a request but the last text box the user is on displays blank. I found that the user has to hit the submit button in order to have the text to appear. Is there a way around it? My users want to use the form without using the mouse. If the text is manually entered, you could disable submit if the box is empty. 05-05-2011 09:15 AM In reply to PaulPHS Joined on 10-14-2010 Posts 15 Re: Missing Text Entry from InfoPath Browser Enabled Form Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact The text box is manual entry, if the user types in anything in the text box and uses the send shortcut without leaving the field it gets sent blank but if the user finishes typing in the field then clicks on the submit button or clicks outs of the field it sends everything they typed in. Hi,
I ran into an issue recently with a browser enabled form. I placed a keyboard shortcut on the submit button so the user can just use alt-s to submit a request but the last text box the user is on displays blank. I found that the user has to hit the submit button in order to have the text to appear. Is there a way around it? My users want to use the form without using the mouse.
Is the text box autopopulated by another field in the form? If so, you could probably place a rule on the keyboard shortcut to populate the field before submitting.
If the text is manually entered, you could disable submit if the box is empty.
The text box is manual entry, if the user types in anything in the text box and uses the send shortcut without leaving the field it gets sent blank but if the user finishes typing in the field then clicks on the submit button or clicks outs of the field it sends everything they typed in.
