Pasting Screenshot to rich text box

Hello everyone! I am currently using InfoPath 2010 to make a form which gets filled via SharePoint in a Browser (NOT via InfoPath-Filler). Due to Security restrictions (I think) it doesn't allow me some things. In fact it is no problem (!) to set my form to "fully trusted" so I can use freely any C#-Code if I want to. My question is, if there is a way to easily get a Screenshot inside the form. At the moment the users need to save it as a file locally and then select it via "Picture"-Control. It would be much better, if the user could just use ctrl+v or clicking a button and then it pastes the picture from the clipboard into the form. Is there a way to realize this? Security doesn't matter in this case. Thanks a lot! regards Mike

I imagine that if the rich text box is enabled to receive images, and the user has a tool to capture screenshots, it's just a matter of taking the screenshot and pasting into the rich text box. Can you try this and let us know if you run into any issues?

Re: Pasting Screenshot to rich text box

Hi! At the moment I have made the following thoughts and ran into the following problems: Problems: - When editing the rich text box, sharepoint ribbon bar only allows me to insert pictures via URL, meaning the address of the picture must link to a picture that is already uploaded. So there is no way to get a button "Browse..." to browse for a local file and uploading it. True so far? The only way to upload a picture I have found is via picture-control. So if I want the picture to be uploaded (or even pasted from clipboard) inside the text of the rich text box, I need to write something in C#. At the moment I see no other way. So what I plan to code is something, where I can press a button to 1. upload a picture and append it to the rich text box (is there a way to even paste it inside where the cursor is?) and 2. to paste a picture from the clipboard (like a screenshot) and append it at the end of the rich text box. I plan to do it via this way: 1. getting the picture (reading all bytes into memory; I don't know how at the moment, need to find it out!) 2. converting this stuff into base64 3. pasting at end of the rich text box via xmlnavigator what do you think about this plan? if I have success I will post my solutions here. any ideas to help me here? thanks! regards Mike

Re: Pasting Screenshot to rich text box

Did you hear back regarding your inquiry?  I'm having a similar issue with infopath not allowing me to insert screenshots directly into infopath rich text boxes in the form.  I have to take the screen shot save it to the desktop as a image file then either insert the image or open it in IE and copy/paste it into infopath, at which point it works.

It doesn't give an error when it won't paste, it just doesn't even give you the option to paste.  I hope someone has come up with a solution, I've been trying to figure this out for 3 days now.
