    Hilary,

It will not let me open because it was created with a newer version of Infopath.

You are saving locally, right clicking and selecting Design, correct?

The original form you attached is an IP 2010, browser form, isn't it?

Yes, I am saving locally and then selecting design....I am running InfoPath 2007 on my computer and anything I have sent to you would have been in that version.  Are you able to get the last form you sent me in 2007 format?

I see what I did - I used the wrong form. Sorry!

    Here's yours, re-injected.

It gave me some more info.  Hopefully it makes sense to you!

Do you have access to the SharePoint logs? I'm wondering if there may be more info there.

I'll have to do some more research later today - see if I can figure out what the issue is.

I'm not finding much for this error online, and I can't reproduce it. Can you try the command in your form w/out the /id parameter? And if you can access the SharePoint logs to see if there is more info in the log files, that would be great.

    Hilary,

I decided to try your expense report example in your qrules 2.0 walkthrough and finally got that to work.  However, I did change the SP site that my list was maintained and did notice that the expense form was browser enabled (was not the case on my initial file that we were troubleshooting).  So I am going to sstart from scratch.  I did want to ask you about mapping other fields in the form outside of the repeating table.  I noticed that the Qrules mapping only allows for the repeating table but no other fields.  Will I have to mapp a second file, or will i have to combine the xml's into one (which I do not know how to do)?

You can use relative paths in the mapping - so, one mapping with relative paths to the fields outside of the repeating table.

Say you want to map the Buyer field - the relative path from the ItemDetails group would be ../my:HeaderInfo/my:Buyer. So you would just hand enter that in the Field column in the mapping tool.

My issue is that I need to click the repeating data checkbox but there is no way to add the non-repeating data (only one list to add to) does this make sense or am I missing something?

  • 04-17-2012 10:11 AM In reply to

I must have misunderstood you. You need to submit to two separate lists? Is that what you are saying? If so, then you do need to create two mappings - one for each list, and two submit connections - one for each mapping file. Does that make sense?

I have just one list, however I want to map the header data as well as the repeating table data in the same list.  However, QRules mapping only allows me to map the repeating data columns.  I tried to manually add it to the fields column and it took it but it does not populate the SP list.  The xml is as follows with the addition fields that I tried to map in bold:

    <my:myFields xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xdServerInfo="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2009/xslt/ServerInfo" xmlns:dfs="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/dataFormSolution" xmlns:tns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/" xmlns:s1="http://microsoft.com/wsdl/types/" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:http="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/" xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/" xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:tm="http://microsoft.com/wsdl/mime/textMatching/" xmlns:ns1="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2007-11-27T15:29:00" xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003" xml:lang="en-us">

I cannot map the non-repeating data.  I only want to submit to one list, but I need to capture the header information and the repeating table information on the same SP list.  The QRules mapping tool does not allow me to do this as it forces me to check the repeating data box, but the non repeating data cannot be accepted.

  • 04-17-2012 10:57 AM In reply to

Okay, so back we go to my original post - type in the relative path to the non repeating field you want. You can type in the field text box. You do not have to use the node picker. I am not sure how else to explain this.

I did this and it did not map it properly.  Any idea what is occuring?  Here is what my xml looks like.
