Get Count of items in a SharePoint library folder in InfoPath 2007

    Hi,

I have an info path form where there is a field that represents the number of the document to be created in a sharepoint library. The library contain folders where each folder represents a department and on the loading event of the form I'd like to get the count of items created in the folder of the creator's dept and increase it by one so that the field represents the Number of the form on the system. I was able to get the count of all items in case I don't have folders using the lists web service, excatly the function getlist(listname) using the items count property but I want something to get count in side a certain folder so how can I do this?

    Thanks

I'm not sure if this will help, but here is a link to a blog post on showing the count of child items for a folder: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/onlineservicessharepoint/thread/90759383-051f-43cd-8764-d39fd8985955
