Hi all,

Can someone please tell me if there is a way to suppress the submit confirmation message that comes up before the form is submitted?

I believe that if you write your own submit code you can bypass this. The only place where this is not the case is for email submit. You will always get an email submit dialog for security (think SPAM) reasons.

Hi Qwer,
Add a button to ur form.In the Button Properties dialog,specify the Action as Rules and Custom code.Click the "Rules" button to add a rule and select "Submit using Data Connection".

Sorry Abhishek, that will not work actually. This is exactly my problem with using a button to submit through a data connection via a rule. The pop-up will come up every single time if it is an email submit. As Greg pointed out, this is for a security reason.

Were you able to get it figured out?

No, not yet. And I will not bother if it involves too much overhead.

In InfoPath 2007, you don't need code. In the Designer, click on Tools->Submit Options. Add your submit data connection. Click Advanced and uncheck the "Show success and failure messages". That ought to do it, but I haven't had time to try it. Let us know if that solves your problem.

Removing that option does work.
