InfoPath Form / SharePoint alert -- any edit causes strikethroughs in all Rich Text areas with subsequent alerts

    Hi,

I have SP2010 and set up a form using the InfoPath link.  This form will need to be updated as a situation goes on.  I have an email alert set up via SharePoint (update me when anything on this list changes).

When I or anyone else edits any area of the form --the email alert will show all of the rich text entries with strikethrough text.  I tried taking the rich text option off the Infopath multi-line entry, thinking that would help -- but InfoPath wouldn't let me do that.

A regular SharePoint 2010 form, not using InforPath does not do this.

Setting up a workflow will not work in this case, because getting an alert is optional, not forced.  I'd like to use the SharePoint alert function as it stands, but having text struck through for any edit at all will create a poor customer experience, to say the least.

    Any suggestions?

PS -- I'm getting HTML code when I look at this list in datasheet view.  This did not happen in 1007.

    Thanks,

    Amy
