hi.

i am having infopath form i am fetching data from SQl to Sharepoint list(External List) for this i have used External list.

the problem is that my sql table which has less data easily populate in External list if i try to fetch large data it shows error.

so i have triyed to fetch data directly from sql to infopath form but it takes almost 3 min  to populat data in infopath form from SQL.

Yes, a large data set from SQL will not perform well in InfoPath. The solution is to filter the data on the server. To accomplish this, you can use a 3rd party tool like DBXL to filter the data before it reaches your form. DBXL includes a web service called QueryDB which can do this.

The other option is to write your own web service in order to filter the data. Good luck!
