Multiple problems (bugs?) formatting InfoPath forms

I've been using InfoPath 2010 to design a form. I'm currently getting two fairly major problems formatting it:

    1. When setting the background shade for a form's table, the setting is not kept. The setting is changed, but after saving and reopening it is lost.
    2. I have a decimal field that needs to be right-aligned. I have that setting enabled on the ribbon but it still shows left-align in preview and when published.

I've considered looking at and possibly hacking the source files but this isn't a maintainable solution.

Does anyone know how to get around these problems?

This doesn't sound like normal InfoPath behavior. Have you tried to repair InfoPath on your machine? (or try to design on another machine) I would assume that something is corrupt. If you can design other forms with no issues, then the xsn itself might be corrupt. I imagine that going into the source files and doing some cleanup would be another good idea, but be sure to keep a backup of the files.

I'm using Infopath as a tool to create a form for a very large firm in which is suppose to support a corporate enterprise solution.  I agree that Infopath tends to be extremely buggy when it comes to formatting (amongst other things).

    1)  The copy atributies button (paint brush) doesn't seem to work (at all)

    2)  Copy and paste doesn't include orgions formating attributes

    3)  Copy and paste of cells doesn't work

    4)  Creating a multiple page A4 format seems to be an impossibility

I'm sorry to say I have yet to have found one single work around for these issues to indlude yours as well.

P.S. Hacking the xsn file seems like a wise suggestion.
