Publishing InfoPath 2007 templates to SharePoint 2010

    Hi There

I am attempting to upgrade a MOSS site to SharePoint 2010 and this involves migrating several issues with the InfoPath forms that were designed using InfoPath 2007, the most significant is the population or non population of one particular drop down list.

Each drop down list in the form is populated from a web service after retreiving the data connection from a sharepoint library.

Previewing the form in InfoPath is all good.

After adding the template as a managed template and activating it to the site collection, each time a create a form all of the dropdown lists populate correctly except for the drop down list that is part of a repeating table.  This drop down list initially populates for the first row in the table but if I add a new row the drop down list is empty.

     Does anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

    Alan

    Hi,

There are times, for browser-enabled forms when InfoPath controls need to always send data to the server, especially when they connect to a data source and/or have code. To do this, double-click on the control (in your case, the repeating table) to show its properties, and go to the Browser forms tab then select Always.

Actually, you might just need to convert your data connections to UDCX files for them to work in the browser. Here's a blog post that has more detailed explanation.

    Hope that helps!

    That did the trick, thanks

The repeating table was set to never, so set it only when required and it worked.  Strange that it worked in MOSS but not SP2010.

    Cheers
