Hi Chris,
Have you reviewed the documentation published online? Here's a list: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/docs/qRules.aspx .
We're in the process of updating the User Guide for the next release of qRules. I apologize for not having an update for qRules v2.4. We decided at the end of last year to release qRules 2.4 without updating the user guide due to time constraints. Our intent at the time was to update in January but now it's already February! Rest assured that the next version of qRules (after v2.4), which we are calling 3.1 (1st quarter of 3rd year) and not v2.5 will be released in March with an updated user guide. We also have a new blog in the works that covers SubmitToSharePointList, RefreshListItems, and SaveToSharePoint which we are polishing this weekend based on feedback from a training class last week.
The main additions for v2.4 were:
- GetXML – support the extraction of any node’s InnerXml or OuterXml as a string
- QueryData – call a Web Service and specify a timeout and capture web service error messages
- Replace supports changing namespaces – swap out an XML with one from another namespace
- Add Days – date calculation support for forms
- Improved functionality – more descriptive error messages
If you need help with one of these functions, let me know and I'll find a document and get it reviewed and posted. Is there a another specific command that you are looking for help on? Please let us know.
Currently, we have added the following functions to v3.1 (to be released in March):
-
DeleteFromSharePoint - new command to delete a file from a SharePoint library
-
AttachmentExport - adds filename attributes if they are not there
-
Track Views - new feature to track current and previous views
-
ChangeSubmitURL - fix bug involving case sensitivity
-
SetFocus - new feature to set focus to a field
-
Context Node - new command to return field where current focus is
-
Other minor stuff
We are testing these features now. If you would like to beta test them for us (and reset your 60-days of free upgrades to start when we release 3.1 in March) please reply to this thread.
Thanks for your support and for your suggestions! We look forward to helping you get the most out of qRules.
