Hello.

Is it possible to prevent Person Group picker control from turning text into red when person is not found so it will be like a free entry text box in some cases?

Hi Did you ever found a solution for this? I want infopath to be able to accept non-existing users. We use this form to setup new mail accounts for users, but also change them; so sometimes the use exists and sometimes not (yet)...

 Hi Sander,

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find how to disable entry validation for the Person Picker control. But I found a different solution in case if a person doesn't exist in AD.

I used a text box next to the Person Picker control. This text box was disable initially while Person Picker control was enabled. If a person wasn't found using Person Picker control I enabled text box and user was able to enter the name in the same format as in the Person Picker control.

I know it's not the best solution, but after spending countless hours to do the right way, I decided to do the way I described above.

Hi, ok thnx for your quick response. I thought I would be hard. One last question, how do you determine if the people picker content is not valid (so on what basis do you determine to show the textbox? And do you have a regex for the AD account name? Sander
