InfoPath Dev

 There are great tutorials online such as:

Through them I was able to get everything 'working'.  I have the form set to where they can click the button and search for users.  they can select the correct one and then hit ok to get back to the form.  at this point the whole contact selector is greyed out and the name i selected is not there.  Any ideas why it is not taking my selected name and populating this field?

I've only seen this happen when the steps to create the Contact Selector are not 100% perfect.  It can be as simple as typing AccountID instead of AccountId in the data schema that you create.  Please double-check the settings and steps.  Also, I've never seen those particular blog articles.  Was there a reason you used those instead of the ones on the Microsoft website (MSDN library) and the InfoPath team blog?  They could be the same for all I know, but I can guarantee that the official InfoPath team blog article works: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2007/02/28/using-the-contact-selector-control.aspx

 thanks for the reply, i re-ran everything and the problem was that for the group that 'Person' is in, i needed to right click on that and select contact selector.  Prior I was just adding selector myself.  It all works now, thanks for your help.
