    Hi,

Which form and what message (if any) do you get? You are using InfoPath SP1 or SP2, right?

    hello franck,

i meen the sample forms in infopath. i can`t tell you the name because i`m using the german infopath. but i have the problem with all forms. there is no way for me to modify a name of a field. there are also little lock-symbols on the images in the taskpane. i think the whole form is locked from microsoft???? i don`t know....

    i`m using infopath sp1 .... because i didn`t know something about sp2 ;-) ... since now i will use sp2 *gg*

OK, SP2 won't solve this. The "locks" that you see is a Namespace issue because the schema was designed outside the InfoPath schema builder. Do you have the free Home version of XMLSpy on your machine (from Altova - great German company!)? Open your schema in XMLSpy, you should be able to modify names. But, be careful, if you change the name of a field used in UI logic, the name change won't be automatically reflected across the form.
