    Paged Master-Detail Table Example

    Hi,

I have try to reproduce your example Paged Master-Detail Table no problem appear when your content is in the primary datasource!

But If you wan't to do that with a secondary datasource:
you can't make rules or define a filter on the reapeating section! Why ?

Is there an another way to do that or are you obligate to use the primary datasource?

    Thanks for your supports!

Secondary data sources are second-class citizens in InfoPath... there are lots of things you can't do with them. Master/Detail is one of those things...

I haven't evaluated alternatives to make this work with a secondary data source, and am not positive it can work.

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for your answer!

So one more time I have to find another way! Another challenge!

    Other question:

Is there a limit(maximum entry that you can have in the control) for : the dropdown listebox, reapeating table and reapeating section ? 1000 or more? Do you know what is the max for that don't very slow up the form (maximum for optimum result)?

Thanks one more time for your help

    Re: Paged Master-Detail Table Example

I have never tried any perf testing on number of items in a list box, for example. I'm sure there's an optimal limit, but that will also depend on how the control is used. For example, a single 1000-item list box will not have the same effect as a 1000-item list box in a repeating table with, say 1000-rows.

The over all number of controls and complexity of the view all play factors in performance.

I don't believe there is any one answer to your question, but rather that it will be specific to your form, etc.
