How do I auto-fill a field from a rich text field?

    Hi everyone,

I'm creating a performance appraisal form and it requires that deliverables be developed and written into a rich text field. I would like the deliverables to automatically appear in another area of the form so that it doesn't need to be typed out again. Is there any way to have the contents of a manually typed rich text field displayed in another section of the form?

    Thanks,

    Victoria

    Hi Victoria and welcome,

Yes, you can just have the field show up in that other section (as duplicate) and make it read-only. If you change it to a plain text control, it will show the XHTML which won't look so good. You can copy it to another rich text field (different from the original) and then allow editing. Hope that helps.
