    Dynamic CHANGESUBMITURL

     I am able to get the change submit url function to work when hard coding the URL in the string but is it possible to use a field in the form that stores the document library it should submit to?

     Example: I am trying to use: ChangeSubmitUrl /submit=ShPSubmit /url=my:myFields/my:DocLibrary  where my:DocLibrary contains the URL to the specific document library it should submit to.

     I get the error below when trying to do this:

    An unexpected error occurred executing the rule. Action: ChangeSubmitUrl
     Arguments:
    submit: ShPSubmit
    url: my:myFields/my:DocLibrary

     Details: The value specified for the destination host (my:myFields/my:DocLibrary) is not valid. The value specified must be either a UNC path that includes a server name and a share name or a URL that begins with one of the following protocol identifiers: http, https, or file.
    Stack:   at Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Internal.ApplicationHost.IsDestinationReachable(String destination)
       at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.VerifyUrlIsAccessible(String url)
       at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.ChangeSubmitUrl(String submit, String url)
       at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.ChangeSubmitUrl()
       at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.ExecuteCommand()

     Is this possible? Or is there a different command possibly the save option that I should be using? Thanks!

    Please try this in the formula editor:

    concat('ChangeSubmitUrl /submit=ShPSubmit /url=', /my:myFields/my:DocLibrary)

    Thanks for the quick response. I tried that as well and recieved the error message below:

    An error has occurred executing the rule. Invalid command specified: concat

    Did you use the formula editor to enter the formula or just paste it into the Value box?

     I got it to work by using the formula box with the following command: concat("ChangeSubmitUrl /submit=ShPSubmit /url=", DocLibrary)

    Thank You!

    Re: Dynamic CHANGESUBMITURL

     I upgraded to the full version and re-injected my forms and now I'am getting the error: "Error occurred trying to get SharePoint Library URL from form" Nothing else has changed besides re-injecting the forms. Any Ideas?

    Is the error coming from QdabraRules? Since the SharePoint library URL is specified in your DocLibrary field, can you please check if that field has the correct URL?

     Yes, that is the error in the QdabraRules Error box. I put the changesubmit url in a fx box to verfiy it is correct and everything seems correct. Below is the value:

     "ChangeSubmitUrl /submit=ShPSubmit /url-http://intranet.dci.com/eng/apd/air/4288/Shared Documents"

    You seem to have a dash (-) after /url instead of an equals symbol (=).

     Sorry about that, I just mistyped that, I do have an equals symbol if the formula.

    Re: Dynamic CHANGESUBMITURL

    That error suggests that your URL value isn't getting successfully passed to qRules.  Perhaps you have an extra space somewhere, or are missing a space somewhere.  When you execute the command, could you also use the exact same formula to set the command value to some other field in your form so that you can inspect it?

     Hi Jimmy - Thanks for the reply. That is what I did above. When I set another field the value = ChangeSubmitUrl /submit=ShPSubmit /url=http://intranet.dci.com/eng/apd/air/4288/Shared Documents

    Like I said previously this worked with the trial version, it stopped working when I updated to the full version and reinjected the forms.

    Can you attach your template to a reply (under the Options tab) so we can take a look?

    Well. I can't preview it because it is bound to a web service, so there goes that great idea.

    qRules should have installed a sample form when you installed the full version. From the Start menu, under Qdabra / Tools / qRules, select Sample qRules Form. The first command will be the ChangeSubmitUrl command, click on it to change to that view.

    Type a name for your form in the Form Name, then in the ShP Library URL field, enter the URL you are using in your form: http://intranet.dci.com/eng/apd/air/4288/Shared Documents

    Tab out of that field and click the "Submit this form to a different library button". What happens? Any message in the Error node? The form won't actually submit (there are some required fields in different views) but you would expect to see the URL you entered in the Result field and nothing in the Error field...
