    simply "help"

    My form works excellent from my desktop where everything was created. When I open the site with laptop or from others machine, form loads well, until I execute the web services portion of the site, then I get the non descript did not submit error?

    So, what's the web services portion of the site? Is that a submit connection? I'm guessing you are saying your form is a browser form? Kind of need a little more detail here.... :)

    Sorry panic one of those wth?

    Sending webservice, using listupdateitem . This is using caml code getting the guid (from a constant feild) of the site, and Id. Works flawless on my machine, but laptops, and the dreaded mac are suffering.

     Yes browser enabled. Thanks for the offer to  help.

    Any details on that error message? Anything in the SharePoint logs? What version of SharePoint?

    version 2007

    if i remove my caml template:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Batch OnError="Continue">
      <Method ID="1" Cmd="Update">
        <Field Name="ID"></Field>
        <Field Name="EID">Value1</Field>
        <Field Name="Checkout">Value1</Field>
        <Field Name="Available">Value1</Field>
         <Field Name="RSVP">Value1</Field>
      </Method>
    </Batch>

    the form seems to verify fine. This is the hinge pin for the web services.

    Just to update this thread with our email conversation -- the form will verify for me on a ShP 2007 instance with the connection to the CAML XML data source. Hopefully the error you get when trying to verify the form against your server will be more illuminating.

    WELL!! jeepers, not what Ii wanted to hear but certainly gives me a sense of direction. The way this form is intended to work is this. The first open of the form, minimum infomation is required name and date, sets the constant field "filename". This is the name submitted for a forms directory called e-log. Second open of the form retreives the ID from e-log and this allows for the second button to become visible. This button leads you to the secondary data "picker", that selects the secondary data (one of 12 lists generated from the excel file) . All the lists use the same caml code rule "checkin / checkout". The third rule "sendcheck" is list specific and calls the webservice uplistitem. Once published this last step is where the form appears to break on all machines except my desktop. I made the assumption that this was the inconsitant verify. I will investigate further. Any more nuggets would be helpful.

    Thankyou!!
