Using an Excel webservice in a form

    Hi,

I have a form set up wiot ha button, upon clicking the button, I send some data to an excel sheet, retreive results and display them in a field on my form.  This works fine in InfoPath clients, on my development PC and on other PC's.

When I try to open this infopath as a webform, I get the following, incredibaly clarifying message "There has been an error while processing the form.".

I debugged a little and found that the error happens when I send my first data to the web service.

Anyone an idea if I can fix this and if yes, how?

    Thanks.

Probabl has something to do with permissions. You may have to set up SSO or Kerberos or reconfigure your Excel Web Services to accept anon users.

I'm actually very new to this whole SharePoint and InfoPath world, so you didn't make much sense to me :) I've found SSO (now called SSS...) but I have no idea what to do with it. What's the target application ID? Something I pick myself or something semi-set in stone? What's the type? For URL, do I have to give the URL for my Excel sheet (which is in a form library) Kerberos, I remember hearing somewhere that this requires it's own server? Excel Web Service to allow anonymous users? As in, find the actual web service on the server and give (the folder?) (which?) access on... which user? IUSR_xxx? Even so, I *think* I've given that particular folder full controll to everyone once, didn't work either... I am at a loss here, to be honest...

    Hi Zappke,

Best thing to do would be to have one of our server guys look at the problem with you in a live meeting but that will take some time. If you are interested, please go to Qdabra's Support Page and look at the options. Should be a relatively quick diagnose, but no idea what it is without probing deeper.
