Attach another form from list to a new form

Hi people, I have a question I would really hope anyone could help me with.

    I have 3 different lists.

The first list contains submitted Infopath forms, the other list contains typical tasks where i can attach the form that is submitted to the first list. In the normal view of my second list the column then contains a link to the form submitted in the first list.

Then I have a third list that will contain a new form that I am making. In this form I have established a data connection to my second list because I want to show several fields from this list. One of these fields are the one with the link to the other form. I use a textbox, but it does not show up as a link to the form, and that is just what I want. I want the user to be able to click on this field to open the other form.

I tried to convert the texbox into a hyperlink, and it actually does show up as a link, but the link does not work and looks something like this: "x-view://b306a/........."

Anybody that can help me out?

    Regards
    Espen

    Hi Espen,

So you're saying that you converted the text field to a hyperlink but that if you click on the link it doesn't work. I wonder if your data source is correct. Click on the field and see what the type is. If it's text, try changing it to hyperlink and republishing. It should work.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have converted it from a text box to a hyperlink, and as i wrote it does show up as a link in my form, but the url are completely wrong. ("x-view://b306a/....)

    Any other ideas?

In design mode, highlight the hyperlink control and right click for the context menu. Edit the hyperlink control to use the field that contains the URL you want to open, or add the URL manually.

Hi, and thanx for the tip!

But you see that, since it fetches the information from a list, there are multiple rows and therefor also multiple forms. I want the correnct one to show, and I do this by using a dropdown box at the top of the form so the user can pick the "row" it wants. Therefor all other fields in the form shows the right information, except the one with the link to another form. :( If i use a direct hyperlink it will be static and not show the link based on what I have selected at the top of my form.
