issue with template with C# code

    Hi,

I am a newbee in InfoPath (my main working area is Web developing with .NET /C#).

I did create a template with some C# codes and therefore this tempalte must be uploaded/activeted by Site administrator.

I have grantet this access. i did uploaded the template as this is described in meny articles and i did activated the template.

I try to create a Form Library but i cannot se any options to choose this new template in New.aspx page.

There is this section "Document Template" with a drop down box, There is only one option in this box: Microsoft Office InfoPath fom.

Can anyone tell me how can I make this Form Library to use my template?

Hi Nasser, when you publish your form are you choosing content type or document library? If it's content type, you have to allow content type on the settings of your document library and add your infopath form template on it.

I am not sure that I understand what you try to tell me, sorry.

As I understand since I have some C# codes in my template than I can not publish in samme way as template without code.

I did create a Form Library

Publish the template to a network place since the site admin (I have this access) has to upload this.

I did upload the template and did activated it from Central Administration

Whe n itry to pen new form in my From library so I can not open the from it seems this will try to open a completley blank XML fil.

i did click on action and selected open With Windows Explorer, in the Forms foder I can see a XML files (it should be my template XSN file) which is empty. i expected that my template to be here insted for this empty file.

    Confused!!!!

I think some clarification would be usefull:

    nasser:
Publish the template to a network place since the site admin (I have this access) has to upload this.

When you use want to use SharePoint with infopath you publication must be to a sharepoint document library or a content type to do that don't choose network location but To a  SharePoint server..

When you create a document library and you choose  on document template a word document or an Infopath document, it just mean that your default document will be a word or an infopath form template, and by default it's a blank one

If you publish correctly to Sharepoint, Infopath will create the association between your document library and your form template.

I had to read your previously post again to understand, the solution were there ( Advenced Settings allow content type....)

    Thanks again.
