    Infopath form in browser

Hi, I've been sent an infopath form which I am told I should be able to open in a web browser. But I can't seem to get in to work. I have the template and the form as attachments. How do I open it in a browser?

Hi bobbyg.  SharePoint with InfoPath Form Services is required in order to open the form in a browser.  If someone sends you the template and or the form it will open in the client.  You will need to get access to the SharePoint site where InfoPath form services is located and open the form from a link that opens it in the browser.

Hi Ted, thanks for the response, my problem is that this has been sent to me by somebody outside of my organisation. Will I need access to their system to able open it? I am not sure I will have that option. Are there any other solutions, maybe through email?

you will need access to their system to open it.  The form template is going to be looking for data connections to their internal web site.  You might not be able to open the form without that even with the template.

If all you need to do is to see the contents of the form the user on their end should be able to email you a snapshot (screenshot basically) of the form.
