InfoPath Security notice: "Trust all documents from this publisher" disabled

    Hello,

I have problem that came out of nowhere. I have published many InfoPath forms to Sharepoint pages in our company and they have been working perfectly. But couple of days ago when adding another form to the pages I see that suddenly it prompts again with security notice. Okei, I could get rid of that just by clicking "Trust all documents from this publisher"... could, but for some reason that selection is disabled! So I have only "open" and "cancel". If I click open, the form opens normally but I get the prompt everytime, so does every other users in our company - they cannot select "trust all documents..." I now receive this prompt with every infopath form, even those ones that I open in my mailbox.

Tried to google this up but didn't find similar problem. Personally I can get rid of this by changing IE security settings (I found solution somewhere here) but I cannot do this company wide. Please help!

    Hi Tuomo Ilonen2,

I need more details about the security setting for your forms as well as your site. Here are some general observations.

The SharePoint server should be in your domain. When you navigate to the SharePoint site it should be in the Intranet zone. If not that could explain part of the problem.

If you are using digital certificates for your form and those certificates have expired, that might be another reason. You'll need to renew the certificate.

Let me know details about the security settings and I may have more ideas.

My hunch is that the certificate expired.

Thank you Patrick for your answer,

SharePoint is our intranet zone in the company.

I have valid certificate from 1.10.2010 to 29.9.2019; this certificate is assigned to the InfoPath file (I can see it from Security and trust --> Form template Signature). I also have security level "full trust."

I don't know what more security settings you would need?

Once encountered that error I tried to solve it by creating another certificate but didn't help. If I remember correctly the problem started to appear after I had copied the file to another location in my computer. I received a notice related to publishing and certificates, probably just clicked OK. Could this have caused something?

Some users in our company still get "normal" security notice where they can select "Trust all documents..." but most don't get it.

I also checked trust centre options and I added my certificate there as trusted publisher but still I get this security notice, I checked that with my colleagues and even though they ahve me as trusted publisher, they still get this message.

But again, for some reasons, the whole thing is working fine with some of my collegues.

Sounds like you are doing everything correctly. Who issued the certificate?

I have created this certificate myself, it has been working fine until now. I attached the picture of the security warning. This feels very weird, I don't think you're supposed to see that kind of dialog box ever...

I have a strong feeling it has nothing to do with InfoPath only.

    hello,

This problem solved itself, i guess through software update in our company.
