Writing single value from a multiple-selection list box to another control

I've been trying to figure out how to modify the EvalSample.xsn from Jimmy's post (http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/14658/59323.aspx) so that it displays the selected item without having to select more than one item first.  Example, right now in order for the item that I want to display to show I have to select two checkboxes and then only the last item is displayed.  What I need is when a user selects a checkbox then that item is displayed.

     Any help would be appreciated.

I'm confused about what you're asking for.  Could you explain it one more time?  Could you attach an example of a form that has the problem you're encountering?
