InfoPath 2010: Create custom "Table Templates" and "Page Layout Templates"

Hey! Is it possible to create your own table templates and/or page layout templates for InfoPath 2010? (I am referring to the templates available under ribbon tab "Page Design" and tab "Insert" Insert Table from Template) Regards Anders

I don't think you can replace the Layout Templates, but you can create XML Template Parts which will give you the same thing. Go to controls and add custom controls. Specify an XTP. The XTP can then be dragged into your view to prepopulate with any layout you want. Of course, you need to create the XTP first. You can use the designer for that. XTPs are great for consistency and reduce form development time.

hi Patrick, can you be a little bit more specific, please? Is there any paper that teaches how to create my own XTP template? Thanks!
