How to Search data from sharepoint list and populate repeating table (Seach text should be entre in first field of repeating table)

    Hi All,

    I am newbie to infopath.

I have assignment to search data from sharepoint list and display it to repeating table. Below is the case in detail.

    i. User enter search text in first textbox of repeating table.

ii. After text enter you will Enter or click tab button.

iii. As user press Tab /Enter, the other textboxes of repeating table will populate with data automatically.

iv. If searched data rows are more then one, then dynamically add new row's in repeating table and  show searched data.

I am working at offical assignment and it's deadline is very tough. i had made extensive search at google and msdn forum but unable to accomplish. I would appreciate and thanks is some provide me solution in form to a small infopath application and code snippet.

    Regards,

    Mehar

    Hi Mehar,

What you need to do needs to be done using code, you can't do it out of the box in InfoPath.

You might find our qRules product very helpful what you are trying to do:

    http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/qRules.aspx

qRules is code but you don't need to know code to use it, you use the rules in InfoPath to call the code.

We have a lot of commands to work with repeating data and repeating tables in InfoPath, qRules might be able to help you!

I think this is similar to what I am looking to do for a project I will be working on. What is the significance of tabbing through this? Is that the only way to get the other fields to appear and pull the data?

I was just reading about qRules. When I dive in, I will check that out and most likely buy. Sounds like its a solution to many of the complex issues.

qRules 2.4 was reached test complete today and we are going to have the new build up for trial and purchase very soon.

Lots of great new features in qRules 2.4!

Just curious for a possible future order. How do you handle the incremental upgrades? are they free and the versions are upgrades fees?

    Hi,

When you purchase qRules you get 6 months of upgrades for free.

After 6 months you can pay 50% of your license fee ($99 for the single user license) for another 6 months of upgrades.

We typically release a new version of qRules every 3 months or so.
