Hi ,

  I am trying to close the browser enabled infopath form that is opened from a content editor webpart using javascript after submit.I have also included a rule to close the form after submit but instead of closing it redirects to the same form. When I open the same form from the form library it works fine..and it closes the form after submit.But when I open from webpart it does not seem to work. Can anybody please help.

In your URL, include a SOURCE parameter. When the form closes, FormServer.aspx will redirect to this SOURCE.

Example: onclick='BLOCKED SCRIPTwindow.open("http://xfhssp01/English/quality/APQP/IssueManagement/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?XsnLocation=http://xfhssp01/FormServerTemplates/NewCAFormFinal.xsn&SaveLocation=http%3A%2F%2Fxfhssp01%2FEnglish%2Fquality%2FAPQP%2FIssueManagement%2FAll%20Issues&DefaultItemOpen=1&Source=http://www.cnn.com/")'

  Thanks for the reply , I tried your solution , however I do not want the form to redirect to any source .As I open the form in a new window, I just want that window to close after submit.

Not sure if this will work or not as I am not in front of my work pc.... But try setting the source to Java Script:window.close() as opposed to an http address. Remove the space between Java and Script prior to placing it in the URL.
