In info path can I put a picture as a background and allow users to mark certain spots on it.  For instance I need a picture of a car.  But, I need to know specifically where something is dented, scratched, or rusted.  Any help would be great.  Thanks.

 Hi JulieD,to add a picture on the background:

1. On the Format menu, click View Properties.
2. On the General tab in the View Properties dialog box, click Use a background picture.
3. In the Add a background picture dialog box, select the picture you want.

For your other demand you can use a table and add textbox fields set with no color on border and shading on the necessary spots.

 

I want the user to be able to mark up the picture where ever they need not where I specify, is that something that could be done without using a tablet pen?
