    This is probably really obvious - when you first load a DDL control into an InfoPath form the DDL displays "Select..." as its first value.

    But when I connect the form to an XML form to populate it, the "Select..." disappears. Obviously I don't want to add Select... to the XML file because this will become a valid submission to the database.

    How do I get "Select..." back?
