Hello,

I am new to C# and infopath and I seek you help with the following scenario.

The form library to which my infopath is submitted has a column called PO #. which is of the format ####-yyyy-mm-dd-#. I wish to get the value of PO# column that corresponds to Max ID programmatically. What I have so far in the infopath form is a textfield and Get PO button that once clicked would like to populate the text field with the PO#.

This isn't a good way to do it since you could have two people submit at the same time.

My recommendation is to submit the form and then query the SharePoint list to get the ID for the submitted form and set a field in your form and then submit again. In other words, your Submit button will do a submit, query, set and then another submit.
