Force user login from web form

Hi. I'm new to the forums and InfoPath. I searched around for similar issues to mine, but without success. Any help on the following would be much appreciated!

I have a form template published to MOSS 2007 and configured to open as a web-enabled form. The form submits directly to a form library on the MOSS server.

Our workflow is that one user creates a new form in the library, fills out a few fields, saves the form, then sends a link to the form to another user to complete the remainder of the form and submit it.

I'm running into an issue when the second user receives the link and opens it. The user is taken directly to the web form and it is displayed for editing, however, the user is apparently not logged in and authenticated with the SharePoint server -- when the user tries to submit the form they get the error, "An error occurred while the form was being submitted." If, instead of using the direct link, the second user first goes to the SharePoint form library, logs into SharePoint, and then opens the form they are able to successfully submit.

Our MOSS server is configured to allow anonymous access which may explain this behavior, though I am surprised that the user is never prompted to provide their SharePoint credentials either at form opening or submission when using the direct link. Is there any way to force this via settings or configuration in either the form template, SharePoint, or InfoPath Forms Services?
