How to Save the Partially filled data in same form when a Save button is clicked?

    Hi,

Please help me to find solution for the below,

I have to design an infopath form with 22 pages and i have to place save button for each page and submit button at the last page.Whenever user partially fills the form he should be able to save the partially filled data in the same form when the save Button is Clicked, that is later when he opens  to fill the remaining pages of the form he should have the data for the pages which is previously filled in the form. Please let me know how to do this.

    Thank you in Advance

    Hi Keerthi Rao,

I'm going to assume that the form is published to a Sharepoint form library, and that the final submit button submits to Sharepoint. If this is not true, please provide further details on where your form is located, how people access it and what the final submit button does.

The Save button on each page is going to submit to the same SharePoint form library as your Submit button. I can't imagine that there's a difference between the "final submit" and the "partial save" buttons, except the label. You'll just need to make sure that the Save buttons and the Submit button are all configured to allowed overwrite, and that you have used a unique xml file name. Can you try this and reply with any issues you encounter?

    Hi ernesto,

Yes Your assumption is right when a save button is clicked the partially filled from should go and save to sharepoint form library.Again when we open the from and complete the remaining pages and click save it should save there only with same XML .Finally if we click submit button a mail should be triggerd to a particular group and the form should be saved there only.

Now please let me know how the Save buttons and the Submit button are all configured to allowe overwrite and how to give form a unique file name (XML file name) .

I am new to infopath please answer my doubts .I have posted few more questions also if at all you know answers to them please reply.

    Thank you.
