    Repeating Table Dropdown Problem

    Hi all,

I have a Repeating section which is made Repeating Table Master / Detail,in master I have drop down for one field.

This has populated data from the similar sort of repeating tables field, which is the datasource in the same form.

When I select one value from the populated drop down then i have to get the data of Another field in the same data source which is associated with the selected value in the drop down.

    now this is not happening.

It is giving only same value for all the selection in dropdown in repeating table

    Scenario

    Main Source
    GroupMain (repeating table)[R . G] GroupSource (reap.Table)
MainId [ drop down ] sourceID
    MainName sourceName

lets consider these 2 in the same form

    Action
When i selected the value in the value in the [mainID] drop down which has the values in [sourceID]. the Corresponding [SourceName]
should get displayed for me in the [MainName]

this is not happening for all selction i amgetting only the same value and if i insert new record and select for it i am getting the same value.

Please help me on this issue i am really tired tring lot of conditions in filters.

    Thanks
    Shree

    Hi Shreeprabu,
Have you looked at using Rules and Filtering to reduce the list of the second dropdown when the first dropdown is selected? Greg has posted some HowTo's and Samples on how to do this using xpath filtering. This should be doable.

    Re: Repeating Table Dropdown Problem

Because you have a repeating table, you will need to filter using the current() function. Take a look at the how-to articles on repeating cascading lists. These will give some idea how to use the current() function:

Create a Repeating Cascading List from a Flat Data Source
