How and can i configure infopath to use https webservice?Do please help in detail.If i enter in data source https url it simply fails and also didnt mention any useful info which could help me.Also can i call the infopath template deployed to server via https url?(I am not using infopath with sharepoint).Thanks imran

hello,yes i have server certificate installed properly as i can acess the webservice via browser with no certificate error.

 Can you check if it do that on a standard VS project ?

on standard vs project as i try to add webreference i get error 403:forbidden. which i dont know why for server certificate is installed.am i missing something?

 On, your IIS server select "Ignore client certificates" or "Accept client certificates" on secure communication and try it.

Hi,As i select to ignore the client certificate it works. The https connection to data connections in infopath not working?? If infopath doesn't support https webservice urls for data connections. As i try to add it gives me "Could not open...... " error message. I tried to do is vs and in infopath and getting same error any idea?

 Ok Imransulerhi, I don't think the problem is on the client side but on the server certificate.I don't know exactly what is misconfigured but I suggest you to search on this side.

so the https url for data connection should work fine if all things are configured correctly?

during design time i get could not open..... error. when i use it in run time in vs i get following error message in debug mode The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: BarCode InfoPath cannot run the specified query. InfoPath either cannot connect to the data source, the service has timed out, or the server has an invalid certificate. Help is needed thanks

Hello, i can't find the solution. You mean that you can acess the infopath template via https? and also if the url for dataconnection(binded to webservice) is over https it works with you? Imran
