    Today's Date Field Error when previewed + formatting is wrong

    Hi,

    I am using infopath 2010 with a form linking to a sharepoint 2010 list. I have created a date field on my form. In the properties of the field for the 'default value' I have selected the fx button and then selected 'Insert Function' and selected date > today. This puts today() in the formula.

    When I preview the form it shows the date with a dotted red box, indicating something is wrong. When I run the design checker from the file menu it does not specify any error.

     Additionally,the formatting is not as I specified in the properties. It is 2010-08-04 instead of 04/08/2010.

     Can someone please help me undersand how to get a date on the form formatted correctly.

     Hi, the formatting doesn't work because your date format it's wrong. Can you try this formula:

    concat(today(); "T00:00:00")

    or

    now()
