InfoPath Dev

sorta stuck on this one.

i have repeating table with two columns.

column1 has a text box called r1_txt1

column2 has another repeating table in it.

the second repeating table has button and a single text box called r2_txt2

how would i reference the text box in the in the first repeating table from within the second repeating table?

            Dim nav As XPathNavigator = e.Source.CreateNavigator
            Dim sOne As XPathNavigator = nav.SelectSingleNode("my:r1_txt1", Me.NamespaceManager)
            Dim sTwo As XPathNavigator = nav.SelectSingleNode("my:r2_txt2", Me.NamespaceManager)

            sTwo.SetValue(sOne.ToString)

        End Sub

Most likely you need some combination of ../ in your path to my:r1_txt1, like "../my:r1_txt1", but is there any reason you can't accomplish this with a rule rather than code?

 figured it out.

just needed to drop a text box in the child table and set the default value equal to the field in the parent table.

i was stuck in a coding groove!
