    Filter Rows in Repeating Table

I have a repeating table that is only one column and has a drop-down menu instead of the default "single line text." The menu contains names of people. I want it to work so that every time one inserts a new line, the drop-down list won't show the names chosen before. For example: the first menu would have 4 options, the second would only have 3 because one has already been chosen.  Any ideas on how to do this?

Hi, see the attached sample XSN I created to show you how do this.

First you have to do this using a secondary data source only (2DS) - the data in the drop down needs to be in a secondary data source, it won't work if you add the drop down values manually to the control in InfoPath.

Then you filter the dropdown choice using a little xpath expression that bascially verifys that what you have selected is not already selected.

    Hope that helps

    Ted
