    Accessing template.xsn without installing InfoPath 2010 on the server

    After clicking DBXL Administration Tool, InfoPath opens and the following error is presented:

     ============

    This form cannot be opened because it requires the domain permission level and it currently has restricted permission.  To fix this problem, open the form from the location it was published to.

     Published location HTTP://{servername}/QdabraWebServvice/Forms/ID/184/template.xsn

     ============

    I've tried logging on as both an Authenticated User and an Administrator, but neither allow me to open the file, and I don't know how to change permissions for a file.  I don't want to install InfoPath on the server.  Can someone provide guidance on how to make this file accessable?

     Thanks

    Hi --

    Have you been able to open DAT previously on your machine? I ask because I very recently had this same issue, and clearing my InfoPath cache resolved it for me. Start > Run > Infopath /cache clearall

    I've not been able to open DAT previously on my machine.  I'm still trying to get the initial install to work.

    Thanks

    Are you opening the form from Internet Explorer?  You will generally need to open it from IE and not another browser.  Other than that, please make sure that {servername} is considered Local Intranet by IE.

    Yes, I am opening the page using IE8, and the server is on the intranet.

    Regardless of whether it's actually on the intranet or not, it must be registered as such in your IE settings.  If you navigate somewhere in http://{servername}, does IE show it as Internet or Intranet?
