I am receiving the following error message when resubmitting a form. I have made no changes to form before resubmitting.
InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
A value in the form may be used to specify the file name. If you know the value in the form that specifies the file name, revise it and try again. Otherwise, contact the author of the form template.. The same form works fine on a different sharepoint site.

What values that you have given while taking the sharepoint connection? You said that you have not changed any values in the sharepoint then how did you save the file as?(I meant what is your filename)
If the filename that you are giving has any special characters, sharepoint might not accept them.

I posted the form to sharepoint using my inforpath form so the filename is OK and then when I opened it by clicking on the sharepoint name it will open just fine but when I resubmit it back to sharepoint I get the error.

Ok. Look at your sharepoint submit connection and check whether you have checked the checkbox "Allow OverWrite if the file Exists?". You need to check this checkbox if you want to overwrite on the same file that you have previously submitted.
