    Query

    Hi,

In my project I have a task pane that displays the details of the signature object.

I want to mimic the way infopath displays the list of signatures when we select "allow user to digitally sign this section" in section properties.

What i mean is that there should be a hyperlink in the taskpane for each signature and on clicking that link as in infopath the "Verify Digital Signature " Dialog box with the details opens up, similarly it should open up for that hyperlink in the taskpane.

    I hope this makes sense.
Is there a way to mimic this infopath functionality.

    Thanks

You will need to call in to the form DOM from the task pane. You can get there by accessing: window.external.Window.XDocument from the task pane. Once you have this reference to the form's XDocument object, you can do whatever you would normally do within the form.

    Hi,

    Thanks.
I am aware of the window.external.Window.XDocument.
What i was curious about is that can i write a script lets say in infopath itself that will open up the Verify Digital Signature dialog box for me.
If you have seen the way infopath has these dialog boxes for every signature displayed on the section when you click allow user to digitally sign this section" in section properties and then sign it.

There is a small detailed list and each entry is like a hyperlink which opens up the Verify Digital Signature Dialogue box.

I want to perform something similar but using script either in infopath or the taskpane.

    Thanks

The only thing I'm aware of is the Sign() method on the SignedDataBlock object. This will open the signature dialog box for the particular signature block that you choose. The user can then look at existing signatures or add/remove them.

Look in the InfoPath help and documentation... there's not much more than this for you to use.
