Using URL to specify which view to bring up in a form?

Is it possible to use a link to launch a form and have it choose a different view to display? I tried searching and couldn't find an answer in this forum.

I know I can define a button or the user can just switch views when they see the default but it would be easier if I can use a link to automatically bring up the correct view.

I'd like to be able to launch from the item in the doc library as well as via an email workflow just by having the user click the link.

    Thanks for your help.

On load rules don't allow you to switch to a different view, unfortunately.

I imagine that it could be possible using code. You might want to repost this question in the Code forum, if you'd like to take that route.
