InfoPath Dev

I have a form where i pull data from a sql server database, password protected, and puts it into a drop down list. i feel everything is set up right - the data is in list and it works when i preview it. unfortunately, when i publish it to my sharepoint site and attempt to open it, i am greeted with the error "An error occurred accessing a data source." Could this be because of the password protection? All ideas are welcomed as to what could be the problem.

Are you using code when connecting to the database?

If so, did you include the username and password in your connection query?

 If not, when you open the form the first time, it should ask the password of the database... well that's what happened to me some times ago... there was a check box in the prompt asking if I wanted to save the password as plain text... i checked it and everything worked fine... Do you have this prompt?

yes, it makes you enter it before you can set up the connection, then a couple screens later there is a check box that i checked. im starting to think that there is something wrong with internet explorer rather than infopath/sharepoint, i know it is set up to protect against certain extensions and .udcx might be one of them

are you able to connect to sql through code in infopath form? I am getting wired permission exception whie opening connection. My connection string is working fine from a normal other web application. Any idea could help me ??

I am working with InfoPath 2010 and C# code. I need to populate few fields data of form on load event from SQL Server tables.
